Missing In Action

Hi :) sorry I've been MIA at the moment I've just been really busy with my house getting renovated and an extension built on the side and I've recently moved out to my aunts as my room got knocked down into my mum n dads room and mine isn't built yet!

its great fun living here although i could only bring minimal amounts of belongings with me like clothes makeup etc. and everything else has went into storage so i haven't had much products etc to blog about. so i thought i would make a YouTube video of my "room" here at my aunts, and what i brought with me and maby a little house tour of what i do here etc. and post up the makeup etc i brought here too! so I'm just going to tidy up do things and get that blog up later today! hope everyone is doing well and had a great Halloween! :) xx

Eye Shapes

Different methods of applying base, contour, accent, highlight, and liner help enhance specific eye shapes. The following techniques are detailed according to eye shape. In each application below, begin by applying the base color from the lash line to the brow. Finish each application with mascara.

Average: Apply contour along lash line, then along crease for a V-shape. Blend the application. Create a wedge at the outer corner using an accent color. Line upper and lower lashes.

Wide Set: The emphasis is on the inside half of the eye above the crease. Apply contour shade along lash line from inside corner out, then back along crease to inner corner. Add an accent color in a small wedge at outer corner, being careful not to extend beyond the edge. Line upper lashes from corner to corner, adding a little lift at the outside. Line lower lashes and gently smudge.

Close Set: The emphasis is on the out half of the eye. Apply contour shade along lash line and in along crease, starting above outer edge of iris, extending beyond outside corner and up. Blend the application. Make a large wedge at outer corner with the accent color. Line upper lashes from inside edge or iris past outside corner of eye. Emphasize mascara application on outer lashes.

Deep Set: The key is to lessen the shadows on the inside corner and make the brow bone area look less recessed. Apply more base color at the inside corner of the lid. Apply contour shade out along lash line and in along crease, stopping just above th einner edge of the iris. Add a little more color under lower lashes from inside edge of iris to outer corner. Add accent color lightly along crease, blending well. Line upper lashes from inside corner to just past outside corner, lower lashes from outside corner in to just below the pupil, gently smudging.

Prominent Lids: The key is to contour below the crease to draw attention away from how much lid is exposed and to emphasize the upper lash line. Add contour shade over entire eye socket, blending carefully. Apply accent color along lash line from inside corner to slightly past outside corner, then in below crease instead of along it. Line upper lashes from inside corner out, with the line getting thicker at the outside corner. Line lower lashes, then gently smudge upper and lower line application.

Hooded Lids: The key is to use color to make it seem as though more of the lid is showing. Apply contour shade on lid from corner to corner, extending slightly above crease, and under lower lashes, working from outside corner to inside edge of iris. Apply accent color close to lash line above center of pupil and blend outward. Line upper lashes corner to corner, lower lashes from outside corner to inside of iris.

The Before Photos..

Here are some photos of my eyelashes before i used the L'oreal Renewal Lash Serum. They are very thin, sparse, straight and short which is quite annoying! when wearing mascara i have to curl my lashes before hand, then all of a sudden they will be straight again all of a sudden!
total fail lol

I used the Lash Serum for about 2 weeks and seen great improvement with the thickness and curl of my lashes which i was extremely pleased about :) but all of a sudden i stoped using the product and it hasn't went any further so I've recently started using it again and hope for great improvement again :) i would urge anyone with short thing or straight eyelashes to try this product out!!

Before using L'oreal Renewal Lash Serum

L'oreal Renewal Lash Serum

After reading Hele’s blog and seeing Gemma on YouTube *LINKS AT BOTTOM* got the L’Oreal Renewal Lash Serum I just had to get it! I did receive an e-mail from Boots a while back when it was first coming to boots to pre-order as it was going to be “big” but I was very sceptical of the product as it says it can lengthen your eyelashes – and mine are downright straight short sparse stubs!! So I finally found the product in Boots for £10.74. They also had a double ended mascara with the Renewal Lash Serum at the other end but went for the normal Renewal Lash Serum as it has more product!

When I got home I jumped straight onto my laptop and went onto the L’Oreal website and found no information of how to use the product (as it comes with no instructions), nothing about this product and not even a photo to even say the product is on their line so I’m disappointed with their website ATM.. I went onto the boots website to find out some information on how to use it ect. And this is what i found..

L’Oreal Renewal Lash Serum give lashes a nourishing boost every day with L’Oreal Paris’s 1st Renewal Lash Serum. An intensive formula enriched with Arginine and Centella. Lashes feel fortified and look renewed.
L’Oreal Paris Double Extension Renewal Serum Inside Mascara combines the Renewal Lash Serum inside a spectacular mascara. The new L’Oreal Paris Double Extension Renewal Serum Inside Mascara is a 2-way-mascara that gives a multiplied lash effect and up to 80% longer-looking lashes.Step 1: A serum enriched base coat with Arginine and Centella. Lashes feel fortified and nourished. Step 2: An ultra-lengthening mascara for a lash extension effect. Up to 80% longer-looking lashes.Spectacular lashes!

HOW TO USE:
1. Use rounded tip to treat lash line
2. Sweep the curved brush from lash root to tip.
By day, apply under mascara.
By night, remove mascara and apply to bare lashes.

I also found an article from Vogue about the products also:

The serum is to be applied in the morning and at night for one month for best results.
To optimize the serum's effectiveness, L’Oreal is also offering a two-step mascara. The first coat is a white base containing the lash-renewing serum, while the second coat applied is Double Extension mascara in black.

I bought this product at the end of September, Boots has a promotion on buy 2 get 1 free on different brands including L’Oreal and Revlon so stock up as its £10/£11 per item :) Unfortunately I only had £10 on me so I didn’t grab at the offer! haa

Hebrew Tattoos

I was thinking about getting two tattoos for Christmas. I really love the quote of Victoria Beckhams Hebrew tattoo down her spine and was thinking on getting my name on the side of my wrist, sounds confussing so heres a little photo >>.. Ill add a few photos of V.B. tattoo and another one I like the placing better! the first photo translates to "more like me instead of what you want me to be"

This is the translation of what I have found, if you can read Hebrew please tell me if its correct, thanks.
Do you like the ideas? Which way do you like my name best?

Hair Dye Tips

I dyed my hair the other day [Garnier 100% color 415 Frosted Deep Brown] and just wanted to share some tips with you I have found out over the years of dyeing my hair.. if you know any others post in the comments!

· If you have never dyed your hair before I would suggest using a semi-permanent dye first, it washes out after 6-12 washes and their won’t be a massive colour block from the dyed hair to your natural roots.
· Before Applying the dye put on an old T-shirt or something that zips/buttons up/or even an old dressing gown as you might spill dye on it and when you’re taking it off to was the dye out.
· Have old towels to hand after you was the dye out, you might still get colour payoff so best use old towels.
· Use Vaseline or moisturiser around face ears so you don’t dye your face ect.
· Apply dye to UNWASHED hair, the oils will help the dye adhere and protect your head from the dye.
· Use a shower cap/plastic bag over your hair while the dye is developing, it will trap heat and make the colour payoff happen quicker.
· Shampoo with cold/luke-warm water (it doesn’t have to be ice cold) as hot water fades colour quicker.
· Apply a deep-conditioning treatment or hydrating mask once a week to help keep your hair conditioned.
· Use UV protecting shampoo/conditioner if you’re out in the sun a lot to protect your hair from the UV light and sun damage to your hair, the sun can lighten/fade your dye.

Out with the old, in the the new!!

Yesterday night I was just sitting on my laptop bored, so I thought I would do something productive...and sort out my makeup collection. I put every single piece of make-up I own into piles face, eyes and lips onto my bed. In the face pile were all my foundations, blushers, bronzers and powders, in the eyes pile were my eye shadows eye liners and mascaras and in the lips pile were all my lipsticks lip-gloss and lip pencils. OCD started to kick in right?.. well that was just the beginning! After I put all my products into the piles as above I went through each pile and binned ¾ of my products away just because a) I don’t like the colour or feel of the product or it breaks me out b) I say I will use them but don’t and c) I have had them for ages..So now my makeup collection consist of 3 small makeup bags, 1 of face, eyes and lips!

Next on my OCD list was to write out every single piece of make-up – yes I said it, EVERY SINGLE PEICE into an Office Excel Sheet. As all of my products will be going into it, it’s set up like this, hers an example of Revlon ColourStay foundation.

Type - FaceProduct - FoundationName - Revlon ColourStay Foundation [combination/oily]Brand - RevlonColour Name - Buff Colour - LightFinish - MatteNumber - 150

After I finished all my face and eye products I did give up on the lips and I’m just about to start them after this blog, then I will clean everything after that as well! Hopefully my collection should start looking up now it’s all clean and the products will look used as I use everything in my collection now – and should start to built it up again as Christmas is coming up!

Do i need to add anything to my Excel Sheet? Should i post it up? Or maby not lol
